Tomorrowland Set to Launch a New Chapter with Upcoming Debut in Mainland China

The iconic Belgian festival is making its way to the East, bringing a unique, tailor-made indoor experience to Shanghai for the very first time.
This November, the magical world of Tomorrowland will open its gates in Shanghai for the very first time.
For two decades, the beloved Belgian electronic music festival Tomorrowland has drawn dance music devotees to the storybook town of Boom. Since its debut in 2005, the festival has grown into a global symbol of imagination, spectacle, and community. While Boom remains the spiritual home of Tomorrowland, the brand’s vision has long outgrown the borders of its birthplace. Now, in its boldest move yet, Tomorrowland is setting its sights on China.
On November 22, 2025, Shanghai’s cutting-edge Hero Dome will host The Magic of Tomorrowland—the festival’s first official event in mainland China. This one-night-only indoor experience will introduce a new audience to Tomorrowland’s world, merging state-of-the-art technology, immersive design, and electrifying performances under one roof. Attendees can expect custom-built stage environments, surprise artist collaborations, and a lineup that blends Tomorrowland’s global icons with rising stars from China’s electronic music scene.
This isn’t Tomorrowland’s first global venture. In 2025, the brand is also making its debut at the Las Vegas Sphere as part of Unity, a groundbreaking collaboration with Insomniac Events. But the Shanghai production signals something different—an evolution. Rather than attempting to replicate the massive scale of Boom, The Magic of Tomorrowland aims to reimagine the experience in a more intimate, experimental format designed specifically for its new cultural setting.
